LA-headquartered asset manager Capital Group has expanded its intermediary business in Southeast Asia with a new hire.
Vanessa Huang joins Capital Group as director, financial intermediaries for Singapore and Southeast Asia, according to a statement. Based in Singapore, she reports to Suyin Tan, managing director, financial intermediaries for Singapore and Southeast Asia.
Huang has a decade of experience working closely with private and retail banking clients, most recently at Franklin Templeton where she was a vice president of Southeast Asia distribution sales. Previously, she also worked at Blackrock, Martin Currie and Citi.
Upgraded Offering
Huang’s appointment is part of ongoing expansion at Capital Group across hiring – Tan recently joined from Goldman Sachs Asset Management – and its offering.
Last month, the firm introduced a training service for institutional and intermediary clients in Asia Pacific and Europe called «Capital Learning». The service includes tailored investment-related content and practice management training modules.
