Zurich-based GAM expands its Japanese equity team with the hire of a former analyst from Neuberger Berman.

Goro Takahashi joins GAM’s Japanese equity team as an investment director in its Tokyo office, according to a statement. Takahashi will join a team that includes investment director Lukas Knueppel and is led by investment director Ernst Glanzmann.

Takahashi has 19 years of industry experience, most recently as a senior analyst at Neuberger Berman. Previously, he was also an investment director at Aberdeen Japan and an equity analyst at Fidelity Investments. 

Headquartered in Zurich, GAM houses nearly 600 employees across 14 countries, managing 74.6 billion Swiss francs ($74.7 billion) of assets, as of September 30 this year.
