A new chairman and chief executive for Morgan Stanley’s Southeast Asia business have been unveiled.

Morgan Stanley appoints Ronald Ong as chairman of Southeast Asia David Aronovitch as CEO of the region, according to a «Bloomberg» report citing an internal memo. In his new role, Aronovitch will also retain responsibilities for sector client coverage as vice chairman of the consumer retail group.

Ong first joined Morgan Stanley in 1995 before going on to lead the Southeast Asia franchise since 2004. 

Aronovitch joined Morgan Stanley as an analyst in 1998 and was appointed as the head of APAC consumer retail banking in 2009 before taking on the role of global co-head of the unit in 2018.
