Zurich-headquartered EFG has announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer for the Hong Kong branch.
EFG appoints David Louie as CEO of the Hong Kong branch, according to a statement, effective April and subject to regulatory approval. Louie succeeds Kees Stoute who assumes the role of chief operating officer for the Asia Pacific region.
Louie has 38 years of wealth management experience and was previously the market group head for China at Credit Suisse for 11 years. He was also a member of Credit Suisse's APAC management committee and an executive officer for its Hong Kong branch.
Previously, he worked at Safra Sarasin, Clariden Leu Asset Management and Deutsche Bank.
