The reinsurance company makes several senior regional appointments.
Deanna Ong has been chosen as chairperson of the board of directors for Swiss Re Asia (SRAL), replacing previous incumbent Lim Siong Guan, who intends to retire at the end of his term.
Ong’s new role is retroactively effective from 1 May 2023. Lim has chaired the board since 2018.

In addition, the company indicated Victor Kuk, the current head of property and casualty reinsurance SID, will take on the additional role of SRAL CEO, replacing Paul Murray
The latter was appointed as CEO of life and health (L&H) reinsurance of SRAL and has been in that function since 3 April 2023.
Meanwhile, Daisy Ning, the head of L&H reinsurance APAC will take on an additional role as chief executive of SRAL Hong Kong branch. Both Kuk and Ning appointments are effective from 1 July 2023, subject to regulatory approval.
