Hong Kong virtual bank Mox has announced an internal promotion to the role of chief operating officer.
Mox promotes Edwin Hui to chief operating officer (COO), according to a statement, effective July 1.
Hui joined Mox nearly five years ago and has been its head of strategy and interim COO since January 2023. Prior to that, he was managing director and regional head of investor relations at Standard Chartered – one of Mox’s backers – where he started his career in 2003 as a management trainee.
Founding Member
Hui is a founding member of Mox and the first employee within to climb to the C-suite level, the statement added.
«[Hui’s] promotion reflects his understanding of Mox's values and leadership skills. His appointment is also an embodiment of Mox’s commitment towards internal mobility and transferable skills that we pride ourselves on in creating better leaders, said Mox CEO Barbaros Uygun.
