The asset management arm of Zurich-based Vontobel has announced the appointment of a head of South Korea.
Vontobel Asset Management appoints Yong Duk Kim as head of South Korea, according to statement. In the role, he will be responsible for managing relationship with investors in the country.
Kim has over 21 years of experience covering the South Korean market and was most recently working at PGIM Fixed Income as its Korea offshore representative. Previously, he also worked at UBS Asset Management and its Korean joint venture, UBS Hana Asset Management, for 15 years.
Vontobel Asset Management has been present in Asia Pacific since 2008 with teams in Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo and Sydney. As of 31 December 2022, it had $117 billion in assets under management.
