The global head of wealth management at Standard Chartered has left to pursue new opportunities elsewhere.
Marc Van de Walle has left Standard Chartered after nearly four years with the British lender, according to a social media post. He was most recently the bank’s global head of wealth management, deposits and mortgages.
Van de Walle has 30 years of industry experience and prior to joining Standard Chartered, he worked at OCBC as its head of wealth management and global head of products for its private banking unit. Previously, he also worked at ING in various roles for over a decade.
Target Role
While Van de Walle did not specify what his next move would be, he underlined that he wanted to devote more time and energy to a role that could «drive client and P&L growth more directly and holistically».
«I came to the conclusion that now is the right time to seek out a new challenge,» he said in the post.
