Alternatives asset manager Blue Owl has appointed a head of private wealth in Japan.
Blue Owl has appointed Yoichi Nakamura as a managing director and head of Japan private wealth, according to a statement. Based in Tokyo, he will report to Johann Santer, managing director and head of APAC private wealth.
Nakamura has over 20 years of experience and previously served as CEO Japan of Algebris Investments. Prior to that, he also worked at Fidelity International and Legg Mason Asset Management.
New York-headquartered Blue Owl is an alternatives specialist with a focus on three investment platforms: credit, GP strategic capital and real estate. It has over 140 dedicated professionals serving more than 125,000 clients with $235 billion in assets under management.
