Sun Life Appoints Asia HR Chief
Toronto-headquartered insurer Sun Life has hired a 20-year veteran as its human resources chief in Asia.
Sun Life has appointed Georgina Farrell as chief human resources (HR) officer for Asia, according to a statement, effective May 1. She will also join the firm’s Asia executive team and HR executive team. Based in Hong Kong, she reports to Helena Pagano, EVP, chief people & culture officer, Sun Life, as well as Manjit Singh, president, Sun Life Asia.
In her new role, Farrell will be responsible for driving Sun Life’s talent and culture strategy in Asia focusing on talent development, organizational growth and employee engagement to support growth ambitions in the region.
Farrell has over 20 years of experience HR leadership roles in Asia, Europe and the Middle East. She joins from British multinational insurer RSA where she was chief people officer, UK, Ireland and Europe.
