HSBC Hires Former Deutsche Private Banker

A former executive from Deutsche Bank’s private wealth unit has joined HSBC in Hong Kong. 

HSBC has appointed Kanas Chan as head of global private banking, North Asia and Hong Kong, according to a statement, effective April 14. Based in Hong Kong, she will report to Lok Yim, regional head, global private banking, Asia Pacific and Maggie Ng, head of wealth and personal banking, Hong Kong.

Chan joins from Deutsche Bank where worked since 2007, most recently as head of North Asia for the private bank. Previously, she also worked at Citi Private Bank and DBS Private Bank.
