Toronto headquartered Sun Life Assurance, has made two senior appointments to its Hong Kong unit. The new hires are aimed at innovation, digital transformation and attracting high net worth clients.
Ritesh Sarda will take up the role of Chief Information Officer in Hong Kong, effective October 11, 2016, subject to visa approval.
In the new role Sarda (pictured below) will report to Shiney Prasad, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Services Sun Life Asia and Jason Dehni, Chief Executive Officer, Sun Life Hong Kong.
High Net Worth Push And Wealth Structuring
Serving as a member of the Hong Kong Executive and the Enterprise Services Asia Leadership Teams, Sarda will work across the Hong Kong business and Regional Office to lead the deployment of the technology innovation and digital transformation program at Sun Life Hong Kong. Sun Life has also announced the on-boarding of former AXA Hong Kong Head of high net worth unit David Varley into the newly-created role of Chief of high net worth (HNW) and wealth structuring for Asia, with immediate effect.
In the new role Varley will be tasked with building a service and solutions platform for HNW clients at the firm, developing a number of relations with partners such as private banks, family offices, independent asset managers and brokerages.
