Manulife Asset Management has today announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer, Manulife Asset Management Thailand.
The appointment of Michael Reed as Chief Executive Officer of Manulife Asset Management (Manulife AM) Thailand was effective 17 January 2017, the company said in a statement.
Based in Thailand, he will report to Gianni Fiacco, Chief Operating Officer of Wealth and Asset Management, Asia for Manulife AM and to Michael Parker, President and General Manager, Manulife Insurance Thailand.
Most recently, Parker (pictured) served as Country Head of FIL Asset Management (Korea). Prior to this, he held senior management positions with leading international financial services firms in markets including Australia, China, Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan.
As CEO of Manulife AM Thailand, his primary responsibilities will be the development and implementation of the firm's growth strategy, while managing Manulife’s on the ground local expertise and capabilities to deliver solutions for both consumers and partners in Thailand.
The Toronto headquartered financial services group made several senior appointments in Asia last year including a new Chief Executive Officer for Indonesia.
