UBS Global Family Advisory Co-Head Steps Down
A 20-year wealth management veteran from UBS based in Singapore has decided to take a break.
Thomas Ang, co-head of family advisory, art and collecting at UBS Global Wealth Management, has decided to take a break after a 20-year career in the wealth management industry, according to a LinkedIn post. Prior to his latest role at UBS which he held for nearly two years, Ang worked at Credit Suisse for more than 15 years, last as its global head of family office services.
«I had a full career and many things to be grateful for,» Ang said in the post. «An unbroken line of bosses and big bosses who supported my growth and tolerated almost every idea I threw at them. My small but geographically diverse team; we became a work family and backed each other through thick and thin. My bankers and partners across the globe, many who trusted us and with whom I had so much joy working with. And more.»
Passion for Food
In addition, Ang said he recently explored other interests outside of financial services.

«Flying to Bangkok in Jan to learn French cuisine full time at Le Cordon Bleu was never on the to-do list. I love eating but I can't cook. It was a snap decision, made right after watching Season2/Ep4 of the 'The Bear'. My wife was very supportive. She thought it was nice to exercise another part of my brain, as long I don't lose any fingers,» he shared.
