Global law firm DLA Piper has appointed a new partner into the Finance & Projects group of its Hong Kong office.
DLA Piper is said to be keen to continue to invest in and grow the Finance & Projects group in Asia and has added an experienced partner to its Asian team.
Matthias Schemuth (pictured), who has over two decades of experience advising sponsors, developers, commercial banks, multilateral lending agencies and export credit agencies in relation to project and export credit finance transactions. His practice also focuses on international banking, commodity and trade structured finance and asset finance and leasing in emerging markets. Schemuth is qualified in England and Wales as well as in Hong Kong.
Prior to joining DLA Piper Schemuth was a partner with law firms Ashurst and White and Case in both Hong Kong and London.
