A former CEO for EFG Singapore is expected to rejoin the firm in the coming weeks as business head for the bank in North Asia.
The appointment, subject to work permit and regulatory approval, will see Kees Stoute report directly to Albert Chiu, who will then be able to increase his focus on his regional responsibilities as Asia Pacific CEO, as well as his role as member of the global Executive Committee of EFG International, as the wealth management platform «Hubbis» reported on Wednesday.
For Stoute, this move follows a two-year stint at «Hubbis», where he was managing director, mandated to spearhead the development of a 200-hour-plus Private Wealth Manager Foundation Certification Program. He also advised on other aspects of the firm’s learning solutions offerings.
«Help, I Am Rich»
He had earlier been CEO for EFG in Singapore until 2012, after serving as the regional CEO for MeesPierson Private Banking until 2007.
After moving to Holland for family reasons in 2012, Stoute continued to be active in the private banking industry – including writing the book «Help, I am Rich», published in 2015 by Wiley.
