A team of four lawyers is joining Gibson Dunn in Hong Kong to continue their private equity, finance and securities practice.

Gibson Dunn’s Hong Kong partner in charge Kelly Austin says the new arrivals represent a transformational step for the development of its Hong Kong office.

The new corporate partners, Paul BoltzScott JalowayskiMichael Nicklin and Brian Schwarzwalder all moved from rival firm Ropes & Gray.

This integrated team of partners have worked together for many years with private equity, asset manager and other sophisticated investors across numerous types of cross-border transactions.

Capital Markets Expetise

They have particular experience in China, India, Southeast Asia, Japan and Australia, and will broaden the Asia offering of Gibson Dunn.

The most senior of the team Boltz, who served as the managing partner of Ropes & Gray's Hong Kong office, focuses his practice on capital markets and M&A transactions.

With more than 15 years of experience in Asia, he represents issuers and underwriters in U.S. and Hong Kong Initial Public offerings (IPOs) and advises U.S. and Hong Kong listed and pre-IPO companies in M&A, joint venture and registered secondary offerings, privatizations and compliance matters.
