Credit Suisse is hiring a high-ranking equities banker from a British rival. It is the second prominent hire in short order for the business.
Mike Di Iorio will join the Zurich-based bank as head of equities for Europe, the Middle East and Africa in August, «Reuters» reported.
A managing director at Barclays, where he is currently head of global equities sales, Di Iorio (pictured) is part of Credit Suisse's efforts to bolster equities, which has long taken a back seat to fixed income at the bank.
He is the second high-profile equities banker that Credit Suisse has nabbed in recent months: former UBS equities star Mike Stewart joins Credit Suisse in New York next month, as finews.com reported previously.
