Fullerton Fund Management, a subsidiary of the Singapore state wealth fund Temasek, appointed a new Chief Executive. She has years of experience in the region.
Jenny Sofian will take up the position as CEO of Fullerton Fund Management on November 1, 2017, the company said in a statement today. Ho Tian Yee, chairman of the board and interim CEO, will work closely with Sofian to ensure a seamless transition of responsibilities.
Sofian currently is the CEO and head of South Asia at Amundi Singapore, responsible for their Southeast Asian and Australian operations. She also served as regional director of Southeast Asia at group level.
Onshore Fund Management in China
At Fullerton, Sofian will lead the development and implementation of the company's overall business strategy and work on expanding its third-party business. Fullerton Investment Management in Shanghai recently received the private fund management approval from the Asset Management Association of China.
With the approval, Fullerton is now able to offer onshore investment products to institutional and high net worth investors in China. Fullerton opened a representative office in China in 2007 for onshore equity analysts.
