According to the sources, Europe is one of the key regions for its investments, where it will target companies in the consumer, health care and manufacturing sectors.
China dealmaker for Rothschild & Co. Jennifer Yu is starting a private equity fund targeting overseas investments with a Chinese angle, according to a «Bloomberg» report (behind paywall).
She is looking to raise some $800 million for the fund, and Rothschild, who will manage the fund, is said to be among the investors. Yu will also be courting Asian sovereign wealth funds, Chinese corporates and international investors over the next few months, unidentified sources told the publication.
Yu previously ran Rothschild's Global Advisory business in Greater China for 11 years, leaving the position in 2017 to focus on the group’s investment business while keeping her role as non-executive chairman of Rothschild in Greater China.
