The fintech platform aims to introduce a suite of product and service offerings that will enable businesses in Singapore to operate and grow across the Asean region and globally.
Melbourne-headquartered Airwallex will be launching its services in Singapore from 2022, following regulatory approval in the republic, the fintech announced on Tuesday at the Singapore Fintech Festival.
The platform provides a global business account, multi-currency wallet, company and employee cards, spend management, online payments, international collection and transfer and other solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as an API for larger enterprise businesses that require embedded payments and financial services.
Global Expansion
Jack Zhang, CEO and co-founder of Airwallex, said in a statement that the company is making steady progress in Southeast Asia, where it is scaling its payment offerings and solutions.
Founded in 2015, Airwallex has a team of over 1,000 employees across 19 locations globally.
It launched in Southeast Asia in September, after securing a money service business (MSB) license in Malaysia, which was followed by $200 million Series E fundraising round, raising its valuation to $4 billion.
