The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is hosting the second edition of the «Global Financial Leaders’ Investment Summit» from November 6 to 8 this year.
About 300 global bankers will be attending, according to an «SCMP» report, up 20 percent compared to last year when the summit made its inaugural launch. The number of top executives attending is also expected to double to around 90.
Industry leaders that will be speaking at the event include Morgan Stanley chairman and CEO James Gorman, Goldman Sachs chairman and CEO David Solomon as well as UBS chairman Colm Kelleher.
«Living with Complexity»
The theme of the two-day summit this year is entitled «Living with Complexity».
«There are a lot of complexities in the economic landscape that we are operating in. How do financial institutions and asset managers manage these complexities, not only the risks, but also to find new opportunities?» said HKMA CEO Eddie Yue.
2023 also marks the 30th anniversary of the HKMA’s establishment. A special fireside session will be organized as a «birthday surprise» for Hong Kong's central bank.
