Auction house Sotheby’s has appointed an industry veteran for the role of Head of Watches in Asia.
Timepiece specialist Jessie Kang (pictured below) takes up the role with immediate effect. In the new position she will work closely with Maria Kelly, International Division Director Jewellery & Watches, and with Sotheby’s international team of specialists, in driving the Company’s business in auctions and private sales of watches in Asia.
Kang possesses more than 16 years of experience in the watch industry in diverse capacities ranging from advisory, business development, client acquisition and retention, to managing teams and multi-brand client accounts across Asia.
Extensive Industry Connections in Asia
Her prior experience includes working with Bertolucci and Raymond Weil in Greater China, TAG Heuer and Zenith in Taiwan and Korea, as well as Chronoswiss, IWC, and Parmigiani across Asia Pacific.
Having also worked with the Kering Group on the strategic brand management and travel retail business of Girard Perregaux and JeanRichard, Kang enjoys strong and extensive industry connections in Asia.
Kang will lead a full team of watch specialists based in Hong Kong, supported by Cherie Wong and Vicki Leung.
