House of Lies
The Showtime comedy is a scathing indictment of the consulting industry dominated by McKinsey: main character Marty Kaan is «a cynical, cold-hearted douche bag» who sides with soulless capitalists, as «Slate» wrote. Even if «House of Lies» wrapped in 2016, it still merits viewing for anyone run off their feet by management consultants.
For a slightly different send-up of consultants, look to «Tabata Takes Over» and the ensuing «Relative Success with Tabatha» on Bravo. The Australian hair industry pro takes no prisoners as she advises small businesses on how to turn around.
