On one hand, it features a dragon and phoenix – two prominent mythical creatures in Chinese culture – to represent harmony, vitality and auspiciousness. On the other hand, it also showcases its Swiss heritage via the mountainous country’s national flower: the edelweiss.
Bank of Singapore
In the spirit of giving back, Bank of Singapore’s lai sees are designed by Amelia Tan, an illustrator from ART:DIS which is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating learning and livelihood opportunities for persons with disabilities in the arts. The red packet features the mythical dragon and phoenix intertwined in an auspicious figure eight, symbolizing good luck and prosperity for the coming year.
