A veteran who has been with UBS since 1995 is now heading the Asian family office in Hong Kong. He replaces a senior banker who is believed to have left the company.
Valerie Chou who joined the bank as the head of client coverage for the global family office business in Hong Kong, in December 2011 is believed to have left her position as the head of the global family office for the APAC region.
Since the beginning of 2016 UBS veteran Enrico Mattoli (pictured) has taken on the role of Head of Global Family Office Greater China. He has been with Switzerland's largest bank since 1995 in London, New York and Milan and has been resident in Hong Kong with UBS since 2005.
UBS would not comment to finews.asia on the departure of Chou.
Corporate and Private Experience
Chou had previously spent 15 years with Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management where she held several senior management positions and co headed the private wealth management business in Hong Kong.
Chou had also worked closely on business relationships between the corporate and private wealth units, a key element when working with family office clients.
