Global investment manager Principal Global Investors has made another senior hire in Singapore, just one week after recruiting a former Director from the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
The fund manager has announced the appointment of Monica Tang as Director, Fund Distribution for Southeast Asia, based in Singapore. Tang will report to Gaurav Kumar, Managing Director and Head of Fund Distribution for Southeast Asia and the Middle East of Principal Global Investors.
Tang has more than 18 years of experience in financial services and asset management. She will be responsible for building and managing the fund distribution business in Southeast Asia. Monica will also be supporting Principal International in North Asia.
Looking for Growth
Before joining Principal Global Investors, Monica Tang was Business Development Director for Managed Investments - Asia Pacific with BNY Mellon. Prior to BNY Mellon, she was Assistant Director at Eastspring Investments (formerly Prudential Asset Management), where she was in charge of developing the private banking channel in Asia. Before that, Monica also held business development roles with ING Investment Management and Aberdeen.
