Kuala Lumpur headquartered CIMB Group has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer to lead CIMB Investment Bank Berhad.
In a press release by CIMB, the Malaysian bank stated that Dato’ Kong Sooi Lin (pictured below left) would take up the position with immediate effect.
Dato’ Kong has extensive equity and debt transaction expertise, having advised on numerous high profile and industry shaping corporate exercises in Malaysia and Asia Pacific.
She possess in excess of 27 years of investment banking experience, 22 years of which were honed with CIMB Investment Bank. «I am confident that under her leadership, we will continue to build our investment banking franchise and solidify our position as the leading investment bank in ASEAN,» said Chief Executive of CIMB Group, Tengku Dato’ Sri Zafrul Aziz.
