The wealth management business in Asia ex-Japan, of Japanese bank Nomura, has seen the exit of its Singapore based deputy head.
finews.asia understands that Amanda Chen, Deputy Head of its Wealth Management Division for Asia ex-Japan has just left the business. When asked for details Nomura declined to comment.
Chen (pictured) left on Friday morning, she had joined Nomura from Morgan Stanley in January 2015 as Deputy Head of its Wealth Management Division for Asia ex-Japan. Prior to joining Nomura, Chen was the Head of Strategic Transaction Group at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management, where she collaborated across the firm to deliver integrated services to key strategic clients in Asia. She held various positions at Morgan Stanley including Head of Private Wealth Management Singapore

Chen reported to Hong Kong based Nobuhiro Sano Head of Asia Wealth Management ex-Japan, who remains with the bank. In the wake of Chen's departure, Johnny Heng who joined Nomura from Coutts in 2015 will, with immediate effect, take on the role of Head of Relationship Management for Asia ex Japan.
Heng's former role as Chief Investment Officer will now be split between Vincent Ng who is based in Hong Kong and Tong Yew Sng in Singapore. The Chief Financial Officer Shinichi Tamai also takes on a new role as Chief of Staff for Nomura Wealth Management Asia ex-Japan.
