A former Deutsche Bank executive has joined CBRE and will later relocate to its Singapore office.
CBRE has appointed Hugh Macdonald as head of capital advisors for Asia Pacific, according to a statement, reporting to Leo van den Thillart, global head of investment banking and Greg Hyland, head of capital markets, APAC. Macdonald will start his role in Sydney before relocating to Singapore in the first quarter of 2025.
Macdonald has extensive experience in M&A, financing and capital markets in the region. He joins from Deutsche Bank where he was previously head of investment banking coverage and advisory for Australia and New Zealand. Prior to that, he also worked at Citi, Morgan Stanley and Bankers Trust.
