The Swiss-based bank is hiring Jenet Chau as a senior advisor in Hong Kong, a source at Julius Baer said. Chau brings more than 20 years of wealth management experience, including at industry leader UBS for the past 12 years.
Together with the hire of Shelley Yiu and Helen Yao as executive directors, the move marks a dramatic expansion for Julius Baer's business in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, which is run by David Shick.

Both Yiu and Yao are also long-time UBS bankers: Yiu was a senior client advisor in UBS' China team while Yao was a senior relationship manager in the team. All three bankers worked at HSBC prior to UBS, and Yao also worked at Standard Chartered.
Chau, Yiu, and Yao will report to Vicki Lee, who Julius Baer also poached from UBS to expand and strengthen its franchise in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, as finews.asia reported last month.
