Bain & Company has appointed Henrik Naujoks as head of its Asia-Pacific Financial Services practice, the management consulting firm announced Thursday.
Naujoks, a 25-year veteran of Bain who currently leads its global Insurance practice, will concurrently hold the position while moving to Hong Kong to oversee the growth, strategy, talent and operations of its Financial Services practice in Asia-Pacific.

APAC Demand
«It’s extremely exciting to have Henrik take on this role, as the financial service industry and especially the insurance sector continues to be a key practice area for Bain and we are seeing a huge surge in demand as deregulation, digital and other factors are offering up vast opportunities for players across the region,» said Edmund Lin, Bain's Head of Global Financial Services.
Naujoks joined Bain in 1993 after graduating with a doctorate from the University of St. Gallen, where he wrote his thesis on organizational theory and behavior in large organizations. He has since spent his career advising companies in the insurance and banking sectors on corporate and business unit strategy, customer strategy, organization, post-merger integrations and digital transformation. Outside the office, Naujoks is actively involved in social impact initiatives, in particular education with a focus on financial literacy and humanitarian aid.
