Invested Asset Management hires a wealth management veteran to bolster its coverage of private banking distribution in Asia.
John Cappetta joins the firm’s Singapore-based office as its head of private banking, Asia advisor. In his new role, Cappetta will be responsible for managing and driving private banking distribution in the region.
Cappetta has 28 years of financial experience and was most recently the Asia head of funds advisory for Julius Baer, Previously, he held various senior roles with the likes of Merrill Lynch, George Van & Company and Safra Asset Management in the U.S., Singapore and Australia.
This latest hire marks another example of Investec's continued asset management expansion in the region. In August this year, the Johannesburg-headquartered fund house appointed Amy Leung to its China equity team in Hong Kong to further bolster its investment capabilities.
