The company has appointed a marketing executive who joined the company in 2012 to head its operations in the region.
Luxury Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet has appointed Stefanie Ng as CEO, Southeast Asia, including India and Australia, the company announced, «The Business Times» reported (behind paywall).
Ng is intimately familiar with the industry and luxury marketing in the region, having joined the company as a regional marketing manager in 2012, a role in which she was responsible for AP's marketing-related activities across nine markets across Southeast Asia, with a focus on its retail business. Prior to that, she spent eight years in various marketing appointments, according to her LinkedIn profile.
She takes over from Joshua King, who left AP in April after one-and-a-half years in the role, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Family-Owned
Founded by Jules Louis Audemars and Edward Auguste Piguet in the Vallée de Joux, Switzerland in 1875, the company remains family-owned. It rose to prominence in the watchmaking industry following the launch of its Royal Oak collection in 1972.
AP produces some 40,000 timepieces annually, and its business its roughly split equally among the EMEA, Asia and North America markets.
