The company has announced two appointments as part of its bid to «add new dimensions to the traditional real estate practice.»

Knight Frank Singapore has appointed Alice Tan as its head of consultancy, beginning in August, the company announced on Monday.

Tan will join from Edmund Tie & Company, where she is senior director of research and consulting. She is no stranger to Knight Frank, having previously headed the company's consultancy and research division for six years, and been part of its residential project marketing team.

She will take over the role from Tay Kah Poh, who will be retiring this year, the announcement said. In her new role, Tan will lead the consultancy team in comprehensive real estate advisory work and look to expand the breadth of the firm’s business development and consulting capabilities.

Tay brings 15 years of experience in the real estate industry, and has held senior roles in the research teams of CBRE and Colliers International. He was also a lecturer in real estate subjects at Ngee Ann Polytechnic and conducted Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses at the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers.

Personalized Solutions

The moves are part of Knight Frank's goal of growing the company's suite of its advisory arms to cater to niche market segments, the announcement said.

«The economy and real estate landscape is changing in leaps and bounds. The one-size-fits-all approach is no longer applicable. Clients require more in-depth, tailored and personalized solutions to fit their businesses,» Wendy Tang, group managing director, Knight Frank Singapore, said about the appointments.

Headquartered in London, Knight Frank has more than 19,000 people operating from 512 offices across 60 markets. It has a strong presence in Singapore with a head office and two subsidiaries: Knight Frank Property Asset Management and KF Property Network.
