Hong Kong-headquartered Asian fixed income manager Income Partners welcomes an industry veteran and former executive from passive giant Vanguard.
Income Partners has hired Linda Luk to join the firm in the newly created role of chief distribution officer, according to a statement, where she will focus on business development across intermediary relationships.
Luk joins from Vanguard where she worked for over eight years, most recently as its Hong Kong head of distribution. Previously, she held various senior positions with global asset managers such as the former AIG Investments (now known as PineBridge Investments), Henderson Global Investors, Principal Asset Management and HSBC Asset Management.

Luk’s exit from Vanguard occurs less than a year after the firm closed its Hong Kong and Japan office to shift its strategic focus in the region to mainland China.
«Intermediaries continues to be a key channel of funding for Income Partners,» said Income Partners chief investment officer and CEO Emil Nguy on Luk’s hire, adding that the firm was seeking a «senior figure who was client-centric, personable and experienced» across the market segment.
