The international audit, tax and advisory firm, has appointed a new audit partner in Singapore to lead the audit and assurance services for the financial services sector.

Mazars has announced the appointment of Mark Chew as an audit and assurance partner, focusing on banking and capital markets, asset management and insurance, the firm said in an announcement on Tuesday.

Chew brings 11 years of audit and assurance experience to the team. He was most recently a senior manager specialising in financial services at PwC Singapore, where he worked with start-ups, fintech and payment companies, and was recently involved in the digital banking license attestation process of one of the successful applicants of the new digital banks in Singapore.

Mazars Singapore has a staff of over 280 professionals, who service clients across Asia-Pacific. Mazars is present in 17 countries and territories in Asia-Pacific and draws on the expertise of over 6,000 professionals in 57 offices.
