M&G Investments announced two key appointments to its Asian distribution team, to capitalize on growth momentum in Asia.
London-headquartered investment manager M&G has appointed Alfred Foo as director, intermediary channels and Roy Ko as client relationship manager, the firm announced on Thursday.
Foo brings more than 18 years’ experience working in the financial industry, and joins from Abrdn, where he was responsible for Singapore’s wholesale segment since 2018. He was previously part of Credit Suisse's private banking portfolio solutions team in Singapore, and has held roles at Vanguard’s US office and at Standard Chartered Bank’s private banking investment advisory team in Singapore.
Based in Singapore, Foo will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and retaining client relationships, focusing on private banking channels, family offices and external asset managers in Singapore. He will report to Berny Lin, head of distribution, Asia ex-Japan.
Based in Hong Kong, Ko joins the firm from Value Partners, Hong Kong, where he held roles in its private banking distribution team. He will report to Joseph Wong, head of intermediary channels, Hong Kong.
