The board of Pictet's asset management arm has appointed a non-executive director formerly from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
Martin Matsui joins Pictet Asset Management’s board as a non-executive director, according to a statement, as of December 1.
He has 40 years of experience in the financial sector including the last 20 with the HKMA where he held various roles including head of the external managers division and, most recently, chief strategy officer for asset allocation as well as advisor to the chief executive of the Exchange Fund Investment Office.

From December 2021 onwards, the Pictet Asset Management board will consist of eight members: chairman Renaud de Planta; co-CEO Laurent Ramsey; chief risk officer Xavier Barde; non-executive directors Rolf Banz, Nobel Gulati and Susanne Haury von Siebenthal, Jacques de Saussure and Martin Matsui; alongside permanent guest and co-CEO Sébastien Eisinger.
