Axa Singapore chief executive officer Jean Drouffe has died aged 47, following a battle with a rare and aggressive form of cancer, Gordon Watson, Axa CEO Asia and Africa, announced in a LinkedIn post on Monday.
Axa Singapore’s chief financial officer Mauricio Coarasa will serve as interim chief executive, subject to regulatory approval, «The Business Times» said. Axa's Life and General Insurance business units will continue to be led by Li Choo Kwek-Perroy, the managing director for its Life unit, and Julien Callard, managing director for Retail and Health respectively.
«His leadership style was an inspiration for everyone at AXA. We have lost a leader who demonstrated kindness, positivity and the ability to bring excitement to every project and endeavor he took on,» Watson said in the post.
