UBP has hired a former Julius Baer executive to join as its head of wealth planning for South Asia.

Robert Phua joins UBP as its South Asia head of wealth planning, according to a statement, effective January 3 last week.

Based in Singapore, he will grow UBP's wealth planning business in the region with a focus on family offices while reporting to head of South Asia and Singapore branch CEO Ranjit Khanna as well as group co-head of wealth planning Bertrand Binggeli.
