The global asset manager focused on active, high-conviction investing is boosting its ranks in the region to help it better meet the needs of the expanding global wealth market.
Pinebridge Investments has hired Nicolas Kopitsis as head of wealth management for Asia, based in Singapore, the firm announced in a statement on Wednesday
Kopitsis has more than 20 years of asset management experience and was most recently BNY Mellon's head of intermediary distribution, Asia ex-Japan and Singapore country head, BNY Mellon Investment Management, from 2016 to 2021. He was also the head of BNY Mellon in Switzerland from 2013 to 2016.
Stronger APAC Focus
In his new role, Kopitsis will focus on increasing awareness and distribution of PineBridge’s investment capabilities to private banks and distribution platforms in the region.
PineBridge’s said the newly created role reflects its wealth business strategy and focus for the Asia Pacific region. As of 30 September 2021, the firm managed $141.8 billion across global asset classes.
