UBP has hired an industry veteran to lead its asset management unit in Asia as chief executive.
UBP appoints Wee Ping Nah as CEO of the asset management unit in Asia, according to a statement, effective February 21.
Nah will report functionally to co-CEO asset management and head of institutional clients Nicolas Faller as well as regional to Asia CEO of wealth management Michael Blake.
Nah is an asset management veteran with 25 years of experience with the likes of Goldman Sachs, Credit Agricole Asset Management, and Fortis. Over the last decade, he led the Asia business of AGF Investments Asia followed by Eureka Capital Partners in Hong Kong.
Nah succeeds Ted Holland who will relocate to the U.S. for personal reasons and leave UBP after nearly a decade with the bank, though he will work alongside Nah until the handover and transition to become an independent part-time advisor to UBP Asia Asset Management.
