HSBC hires a former executive from UOB to support its digital efforts in Singapore, finews.asia has learned.
HSBC hires Aaron Chiew as its head of platform product management, global commercial banking, according to an internal memo seen by finews.asia, effective March 7.
Based in Singapore, Chiew reports to the commercial bank’s global head of platforms, Aman Narain.
Chiew joins from UOB where he headed its mobile and digital team, leading the development of digital bank TMRW and payment solution UOB Mighty. Previously, he also spent seven years with Standard Chartered as its head of product engineering before covering its wholesale, private and retail digital platforms.
A spokesperson for the bank confirmed the new hire.
