UBS strengthens its family office business in the region with the appointment of two new executives, finews.asia has learned.

UBS Global Wealth Management has appointed Amy Lau as a director and family advisor, according to an internal memo seen by finews.asia.

Lau joins from HSBC’s private banking arm where she was also a director for family advisory. Previously, she worked as an institutional sales at global markets and corporate banker in commercial banking.

Separately, Andrew Lo has been appointed as head of family advisory and family office solutions for Greater China. Lo has 19 years of private banking experience, including a decade as a China market team head at Coutts.

A spokesperson for the bank confirmed the contents of the note.
