Rotterdam-headquartered asset manager Robeco appoints a new head of Asia Pacific equities, succeeding Arnout Van Rijn.
Joshua Crabb has been named head of APAC equities, according to a statement, effective July 1 this year.
In his new Hong Kong-based role, Crabb will be responsible for the APAC equities team and take over as fund manager of Robeco Asia Pacific Equities alongside Harfun Ven who has been with Robeco since 2008.
Crabb has been with Robeco since 2018, most recently as a senior portfolio manager.
APAC Equities Reshuffle
Crabb succeeds Arnout Van Rijn who will relocate back to the Netherlands as a portfolio manager in the sustainable multi-asset team after 14 years in Hong Kong where he set up Robeco’s APAC team.
16-year Robeco veteran Vicki Chi will also take over Robeco Asian Stars and Robeco Sustainable Asian Stars together with Crabb, effective April 1, 2022.
«After 14 years in Hong Kong building both the team and our client base, I feel the time has come to relocate back to the Netherlands with my family,» said Van Rijin. «It’s a decision I’ve prepared over the last few years and I feel confident that under [Crabb’s] leadership, the team will embark on its next growth phase that will deliver strong outcomes for clients. The strategies are in the safe hands of a great and diverse team.»
