Dutch asset manager Robeco has hired a 25-year veteran as its head of sales for Asia Pacific.

Robeco has appointed Lawrence Hanson as the head of sales Asia Pacific, according to a statement, effective November 11. In the role, he will have the overall leadership and management responsibilities for the Rotterdam-based asset manager's sales efforts in APAC, developing the strategic pathway to accelerate its ambitions and continue building the brand presence in the region.

Hanson has over 25 years of experience in financial services across the UK, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Previously he held senior positions at Fidelity International including managing director Australia and as well as head of Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Prior to that, he also worked at UBS Asset Management and Fleming/Save & Prosper.
