T. Rowe Price appoints an asset management veteran as a Hong Kong-based fixed income portfolio specialist.
The U.S.-based international investment management organization named Ramon Maronilla as a fixed income portfolio specialist in its investment specialist group, the firm announced Thursday.
Maronilla, who took on the role on 29 March, is based in Hong Kong. One of his main responsibilities is to present the investment views of T. Rowe Price's fixed income portfolio managers to institutional and intermediary clients in Asia.
He reports to Sydney-based Nick Beecroft, who is the Asia Pacific head of the investment group.
J.P. Morgan Veteran
Previously, Maronilla was at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where he was managing director and head of fixed income specialists for Asia Pacific ex-Japan. He held similar roles at State Street Global Advisors and PIMCO, the company indicated.
«We believe his technical expertise in fixed income solutions and deep understanding of the evolving needs of Asian investors will greatly enhance our local client support as we bolster our fixed income offerings in the region,» Beecroft said in the statement.
T. Rowe Price’s fixed income team manages $175.7 billion in assets globally, the release said.
