A more than 30-year OCBC executive has been appointed as the Singapore bank's new head of group human resources.

Lee Hwee Boon has been named head of group human resources, according to a statement, effective June 24.

Lee succeeds Jason Ho who will retire on June 23 after first taking on the role seven years ago in 2015.

Lee has spent 31 years with OCBC after first joining the bank in 1993 as a trainee officer. She is currently the head of enterprise banking for middle market & services within the global commercial banking unit. Previously, she also led various green finance initiatives including the development of a sustainable finance framework for small companies or the launch of a green loan tool in collaboration with the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) to predict the energy consumption of buildings.
