A communication specialist is leaving UBS after two decades.
UBS group head of communications Mark Hengel is leaving the Swiss bank after a 21-year stint at the bank, as reported by the financial blog «Inside Paradeplatz.»
Although the bank has not commented on the departure, Hengel's position has already been advertised.
Hengel, a financial communications expert and a specialist in dealing with sensitive operational issues, worked for Swiss insurer Zurich and U.S. Citigroup before joining Switzerland’s biggest bank.
Hengel’s successor will report to Marsha Askins, who heads communications and branding and looks over the bank's entire communications. Askins reports directly to CEO Ralph Hamers.
